Lamar Odom’s aunt, JaNean Mercer, is giving an update on her nephew’s condition and has indirectly responded to his reconciliation with wife Khloe Kardashian amid his recovery.
Just a few days ago, Odom was discharged from the hospital he was initially taken to in Las Vegas after being found unresponsive in Dennis Hof’s brothel last week and even though he does have a long road of recovery ahead, reports say he’s been making a lot of progress.
“To our overwhelming delight, Lamar's courageous improvement continues on the incline in Los Angeles," Mercer told People in a statement.
"He is beginning to gradually flourish both mentally and physically. His use of speech has increased and he's more cognitively responsive. His medical team has executed an aggressive therapy regimen to aid in his progress."
When it comes to Odom calling off his divorce from Kardashian, Mercer never mentioned her by name but did say she and the rest of the family support the reconciliation.
“In SINCERELY loving Lamar, we truly love and respect whomever he loves,” she said. “We always have and will continue to do so. Together as a team, we will support and encourage him always."
