Mindy’s maternity leave is finally over and she’s back at the office.
On the way to the office on her first day back (with Leo in tow) Mindy gets booed by a southern gentleman on the subway for breastfeeding Leo. Ironically, the man shows up at the practice later and turns out to be the new doctor (Dr. Jody), and his sister, Colette, is the new nurse. Mindy is not to pleased with the new hired. However, the rest of the office thinks they are a great addition to the practice. Mindy begins her plot to get them fired.
Danny is desperately trying to find Mindy a “push” present. His first idea was a stripper dance (nope, nope, nope, nope). Then he got Mindy an ugly sweater, which Mindy gave to Morgan. In desperation, he goes jewelry shopping with the help of Tamara. Here’s the catch, Danny is using this present to convince Mindy to become a stay-at-home mom, since work can be so stressful for Monday.
While sneaking into Jody’s office to plot, she finds Colette crying. Colette admits that she hates New York City and misses Georgia. She only moved here because her brother wanted to move to NYC and they do everything together.
Mindy tries to get Jody fired on the charges that he is sexist (which isn’t ideal at an OBGYN practice). But her co-workers applaud Jodie’s old-fashioned methods. Mindy proposed that she just leaves the practice since Jody won’t leave. As a dramatic motion, Mindy flashes her boob at Jodie and accidentally sprays breast milk in his face. She then decides that she’s going to quit the practice.
Later that night, Danny comes home and tells Mindy that she is overjoyed that she decided to stay home with Leo. Danny finally decided on the best push present, a tattoo on his chest that says “Leo” in cursive. However, Mindy is still thinking she might want to go back to work.
