Fox's Gotham is adding a major new character. Nathan Darrow, formally of House of Cards, will be joining the cast as Victor Fries a.k.a. Mr. Freeze.
Gotham has released a character description for Fries, explaining that he is a very smart character and isn't able to make lasting connections with others. Fries is married to his wife Nora, who is currently ill with a terminal disease and he wants to find a way to freeze her before she dies. This process leads into him becoming the iconic D.C. villain Mr. Freeze.
Entertainment Weekly reported that Darrow will start his run on the show Nov. 30. He is set to be featured throughout season two.
Mr. Freeze was originally featured in Batman & Robin, which was not received well by critics or fans and is often considered to be one of the worst films that has been made with D.C. characters at the center.
