After playing a libertarian government worker for seven seasons on Parks and Recreation, Nick Offerman is headed to New York City for a guest spot on Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Offerman will be playing Frederick, an ex-boyfriend of Captain Holt (Andre Braugher). He'll be appearing in the show's Thanksgiving episode, which will air on Nov. 22. Offerman is not expected to be featured in any other Season 3 episodes.
This is another huge guest star to appear in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's third season. A few weeks ago, they also had on Bill Hader as the new captain for the season premiere. That didn't turn out too well, as Hader's character died of a heart attack within his first 10 minutes on screen, so hopefully Frederick is able to last a bit longer than that.
Since Parks ended, Offerman has landed quite a few roles including a recurring character on Season 2 of Fargo. He also recently appeared as a guest on The Muppets, and he voiced a character in the recent animated hit Hotel Transylvania 2.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine airs Sundays at 8:30 p.m. on Fox.
