Nicole Curtis, home improvement expert and star of HGTV's popular Rehab Addict, inspires viewers week after week on HGTV with her can-do attitude and her ability to transform older buildings into architectural masterpieces. With help from BernzOmatic, Curtis wants to encourage even more people to get in on the renovation fun. She has teamed up with BernzOmatic to give back to communities all across the United States.

This initiative encourages people working on a rehab or do it yourself project to share what they are working on by visiting Bernzomatic.com/Grants.

"It's called #FindYourFire, you go online, take a picture of your project, you give a quick narrative description of it," said Curtis. "When I say quick, I mean be creative, by witty, because someone has to look at it and say yes, this is worth it."

The contest will be running through Dec. 7 and America will be able to vote for the winners. The grand prize winner will receive a visit from Curtis herself to help with their project.

With Rehab Addict, Curtis travels around to different locations, often historic structures, buys the properties and brings them back to their former glory. She explains and shows off her audiences can do the same thing and can get started with their own home rehab projects.

For Curtis her passion for renovation started many years ago with her first home. "I started getting into old homes and seeing how they were made. Plaster is different than drywall, tile is different than linoleum...It just kind of all started this and for me it was love at first sight," explained Curtis. "It's about saving our history."

Chelsea Lewis from TheCelebrityCafe.com was able to speak with Curtis and discussed her latest project with BernzOmatic, how this type of work can bring together communities and what she has planned next with HGTV. The entire interview is below.
