For the Oct. 22 episode of The Originals, read on to see if Klaus can determine who his real enemies are on "I'll See You in Hell or New Orleans."

Back in 1002 A.D., Lucian asks Klaus to deliver declarations of love to Lady Aurora for him. Lucian wants her to run away with them. Klaus tries to talk him out of it. Turns out Klaus and Aurora are already in love. Lucian catches them kissing one night and the guards follow him. Klaus runs away, but Lucian stays and is caught by the guards, as well as Aurora’s brother, Tristan. Tristan believes Lucian has violated his sister.

In current day, Elijah and Klaus discuss killing Lucian to prevent the prophecy. Elijah wants answers first. He wants to know why Lucian lied to Klaus about the wolf venom.

Cami and Vince are discussing the case. They believe it’s Lucian doing the killing. Vince gets a text from Detective Kinney that Lucian is at the station. He and Cami go down to help.

Hope is crying because a jazz group is playing outside the apartment. Hayley is angry. Jackson tells Hayley she’s just sensitive to the noise because they’ve been in the woods so long. She says she’s claustrophobic and irritable. Jackson tells her to let it out. He offers to help.

Marcel tells his vampires not to touch the visitors or locals. He tells Josh to contact their people at the blood banks instead. He asks his head vampires to keep the others in line while Elijah and Klaus get things straightened out. A woman named Aya appears in the doorway. She says she can help. He asks his vamps to kick her out. She attacks them before telling Marcel she has to make him an offer. He tries to fight her, but she slices his skin, and he goes unconscious.

Klaus and Elijah go to Lucian’s apartment to find him, but he’s not there. Klaus wants to see Elijah’s version of the prophecy and they drink from Lucian’s seer together. They see that Lucian has intentions for Camille and see a vision of Marcel. Elijah leaves to find Marcel while Klaus leaves to eliminate Lucian before he hurts Camille.

Lucian compels Kinney to send Cami in during questioning. Cami agrees, feeling protected by the police station. Vince goes in with her.

Lucian tells the story of how Tristan whipped him. Klaus tries to stop Tristan, but he threatens to out Klaus as a demon. Klaus grabs Tristan by the throat and threatens to kill him. Tristan says if he dies, he has riders ready to spread news of their staying in the castle so whoever they’re running from can find them. Elijah convinces him to let Tristan go. Tristan then slices Lucian’s mouth open with a knife.

Lucian says someone is setting him up so he can’t protect Klaus. He says whoever it is, wants Klaus dead.

Jackson brings Hayley to Marcel’s sparring arena. She says she can’t because she’ll hurt him. He gets out fighting staves to even the field. Hayley is angry with Klaus and Davina. Jackson tells her to get her rage out of her system. She fights him and cuts his cheek open. She tells him to go, but he says he’s not afraid. She licks the blood off and feeds on him; then they have sex in the ring.

Elijah finds Marcel’s vampires dead or unconscious. Marcel is missing. Josh tells Elijah about Aya. Elijah is her sire. He follows the address on her business card.

Camille accuses Lucian of wanting to make Klaus look bad in front of a friend. He says he needs Cami to help get Klaus to trust him. He says he’s not angry with Klaus anymore.

In 1002, Klaus cuts Lucian down from his binds in the prison. He offers him water, but Lucian can’t drink because of his sliced mouth. Lucian is angry and stabs Klaus. Klaus’s blood mixes with Lucian’s and it makes him heal. It’s the first time Klaus has seen it happen. Lucian thinks he’s now like Klaus and attacks Tristan, only to be gutted by the guards’ spears. He dies.

Lucian asks Cami why he would undermine his own safety by leaving behind a trail of dead bodies. She asks who could be framing him, but before he can answer, Klaus barges in. Lucian says if Klaus kills him, he’ll be giving a victory to Tristan. Klaus asks to be alone with him.

Marcel wakes up in a fancy corridor with Aya. She tosses him a bag of blood. She says that her friends can help with the daylight ring situation and she offers to help him return to ruling New Orleans. He asks who her friends are. She says they’re the oldest society of vampires in the world. They’re called the Strix. Elijah comes in and says they’re responsible for countless wars, plagues and assassinations. She says you have to break rules if you want to build a new world. Elijah reaches his hand into her chest and squeezes her heart, asking why she’s there. From behind, Tristan tells him to let her go. Elijah complies.

Tristan tells Elijah that his sire line’s in danger. Elijah dismisses Marcel from the room. Marcel says he should remember who his friends are.

Klaus says he’s going to drain Lucian of vervain and ask him questions. Lucian says he’s there to protect Klaus. Klaus asks why he lied about the werewolf bite. Lucian says he figured Klaus has bigger concerns than something he could cure himself. He says Klaus is being led to believe that Lucian’s mentally unstable by Tristan so he won’t protect Klaus. Klaus says he doesn’t need Lucian’s protection. Lucian asks who will look after Klaus’s family and friends.

Kinney enters the room asking Klaus why he’s there. Klaus compels him into thinking that he’s Lucian’s lawyer. Kinney says he doesn’t need one because another murder just happened while Lucian was in custody.

Tristan tells Elijah that Marcel is not part of the war between the sire lines. He says that the Strix have wreaked havoc on Lucian, making him desperate to wipe out Elijah’s line. Tristan believes that Lucian will try to find someone to kill Elijah, such as Klaus. Elijah tells Tristan that Klaus is on a mission to kill Lucian. Tristan says he has to stop him because only Lucian knows about a weapon that can kill Elijah.

Outside of the police station, Klaus tells Cami about Lucian’s funeral. Klaus and Elijah are discussing the healing powers of their blood, and that it only works on the living. Klaus tried administering his blood to Lucian after he died, but it didn’t work. Klaus tries to light Lucian’s pyre, but he wakes up gasping for air. He’s the first person Klaus turned. Cami says if Lucian is really there to protect him, Klaus doesn’t have to kill him. Klaus thanks her for her concern.

Lucian drives off. Klaus follows him, ready to kill, but Elijah finds and stops him. Klaus is going to do it anyway, but Elijah says he should stop if he ever wants to reconcile with him.

Back in 1002, Lucian has killed an entire family. Klaus reprimands him for making a mess that won’t go unnoticed. Lucian says he no longer hates Klaus; that they are like brothers. He asks Klaus to teach him. Klaus agrees.

In current day, Klaus says he should have killed Lucian back then. Elijah says Lucian brought out the worst in him. Klaus says they brought out the worst in each other. Elijah says once they have the weapon, they’ll kill Lucian and Tristan. Klaus admits it’s nice to hear Elijah use the word “we,” but Elijah tells him it’s not forgiveness. Klaus says he took things too far with Hayley. He tells Elijah that he will never fall by his hand. Elijah walks out.

Josh is cleaning up blood in Marcel’s apartment. Marcel is upset with the Strix and with Elijah.

Cami and Vince wonder who’s really committing the murders. Tristan is at the latest crime scene. His phone buzzes and he walks away.

Aurora is surrounded by dead monks. She leaves a message for Tristan that she’s coming to New Orleans, then jumps off the balcony.
