The Power Rangers reboot is set to be released in 2017 and they studios have found their pink Power Ranger. Power Rangers was a hugely popular TV show in the 1990s and has been a pop culture staple ever since.
According to Comic Book Movie the studios announced today that Naomi Scott has been cast as Kimberly Ann Hart a.k.a. the Pink Ranger, beating out the rumored competition of AnnaSophia Robb and Stefanie Scott.
A recent report described Kimberly as 17 years old, unconventionally cool in a way the popular girls wish they were. In fact, she was one of those girls, but isn’t anymore. Not since she’s returned to school after an absence of 6 months. Rumors are flying as to why; rumors she seems not to care about, because she’s come back with this new rebel-without-a-cause, edgy attitude. But the truth is, it’s all masking a deep secret that makes her feel profoundly vulnerable.
The 22-year-old actress even got the blessing of Amy Jo Johnson, who played the Pink Ranger in the original 1990s TV series Mighty Morphing Power Rangers, CBS News reported.
Expect to see Kimberly and the rest of the mighty morphing Power Rangers on January 13, 2017.
