Roseanne Barr to appear on “The Office”

NBC’s The Office will be receiving a visit from Roseanne Barr in an upcoming episode this season.

According to the Associated Press, Barr will play the role of Carla Fern, a talent agent who works with Andy Bernard (Ed Helms) to help the Dunder-Mifflin manager realize his show business dream.

Andy has already shown an interest in music on the show over the years, from playing the banjo to starting a band with fellow co-workers. He was also a member of the a capella group, Here Comes Treble, in his college years.

Though the character has been absent from the show for several episodes due to a voyage on the sea, TV Guide said that Andy will return to the show next week.

Barr, who is set to film scenes for the show Wednesday, according to the AP, is taking a break from her Vegas stand-up comedy act for the guest-star spot.

The Office, which is in its ninth and final season, airs Thursdays at 9/8c on NBC.
