Popular BBC One series Sherlock has received a title and airdate for its upcoming television special.

The 90-minute one-off special, titled Sherlock: The Abominable Bride, will feature its beloved characters in a 1890s Victorian London setting.  This was the original backdrop of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock mysteries, according to Deadline.

The special will air on January 1, simultaneously in both the United States (shown on Masterpiece Mystery on PBS, 9 p.m. EST) and the United Kingdom (BBC One) for the first time in the show’s history. Previously, American viewers have had to wait until the show aired in the UK before they could watch it.

Sherlock, starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson, respectively, takes place in present-day London, so the special marks a throwback to the original Sherlock tales’ roots.

The television special is not considered a part of Season 4, which, according to BBC, is set to start production in the spring of 2016.
