Movie marathons are something in which all fans love to partake, but doing it in the theater is that much better. Rumors were speculating it for months, but now it is confirmed. The tagline says it all: "All seven movies. One epic journey,"

Fandango reported today that the Star Wars marathon will be happening on Dec. 17, the day before The Force Awakens opens on the 18th. The seven-movie marathon will take roughly 15.5 hours, not including breaks in between movies. AMC is the theater which will be holding the marathon.

Comicbook.com reports that Ticket sales for all opening weekend showings of Star Wars: The Force Awakens are expected to open up after a trailer debuts during ESPN's Monday Night Football on October 19, 2015. The MNF presentation is rumored to be themed entirely to Star Wars, including an opening crawl for the Eagles-Giants rivalry.

The start time of the marathon is not yet known but it will probably start early in the morning and end with the midnight release of The Force Awakens. Questions are also arising about the 3D element. The Force Awakens will be released in 3D but it is still unknown if the previous six films will also be shown in 3D.

Detail for the marathon will surely be released sooner rather than later, but for now mark your calendars.
