In this week’s “Big Bang Theory” Howard and Raj “kidnap” Leonard for his bachelor party since they were unable to celebrate because he and Penny eloped. Sheldon thinks it is crazy that Leonard is going to get in a van with them and travel to an unknown location for the weekend. The guys then reveal that Sheldon will be coming along. When he resists, they resort to forcing him into the van with his hands tied and a blindfold.
Sheldon and Leonard learn that the van they are traveling in was owned by famous physicist, Richard Feynman. Then Howard reveals that they are traveling to Mexico. Sheldon is hesitant but then Howard tells him there is a theme. They are in fact traveling in Feyman’s van to stay in the vacation house that Feynman bought with the money from his Nobel Prize.
On their journey the van ends up getting a flat tire. Howard gets out and tries to change the tire but has trouble getting the lever to remove the last lug nut. They guys try to figure out the issue scientifically. They agree that they need a bigger lever. The try using the pole from a stop sign but that doesn’t help. After some more failed experiments they try to melt the lug nut with thermite and a match. This backfires as the whole van goes up in flames. They end up having to return home cutting the weekend short.
While the guys were having a rough time in Mexico, the girls got together for a low key girl’s night. Bernadette tries to get Penny to let her take her out for a bachelorette party but Penny is content staying home. Amy however does bring anatomically correct male genital cookies for the occasion.
Amy asks Penny how married life is. She tells her that it is good, but that Leonard hasn’t worked up the courage to tell Sheldon he is going to move in with her officially. Bernadette then asks Amy how single life is. Amy says good, but she has thought about changing her wardrobe. Penny and Bernadette get excited at this notion, but Amy quickly states that she decided not to change who she is because of a man. The only thing she does want to do is get her ears pierced. Her mom thought it was sinful. She says that whenever she did something sinful as a kid she was forced to sit in the “sin closet.” Sheldon also wouldn’t let her pierce her ears as their relationship agreement forbid cosmetic alterations unless he was becoming a Klingon. Penny jumps at the opportunity to do it herself. Amy is hesitant but agrees.
Penny reveals that she didn’t tell her family that she got married. She doesn’t want to break her dad’s heart that he didn’t get to dance with her on her wedding day. Amy also has yet to tell her mom that she broke up with Sheldon. Bernadette encourages Penny to call her dad to tell him. She agrees to do it but only if Amy calls and tells her mom about her breakup.
Penny’s dad takes the news well, but then has some news of his own. He confesses to Penny that she accidentally ran over her pet pig with his tractor. He kept this from her for a year. Penny gets upset and he quickly rushes off the phone.
Amy calls to tell her mom, but she stalls on the phone. That is why Penny grabs it from her. She blurts out that Amy broke up with Sheldon, got her ears pierced and made penis cookies before handing the phone back to Amy. We later find out that her mom made her sit in Penny’s closet as punishment.
At the end of the episode Penny, Leonard, and Sheldon discuss their weekends trying to outdo each other with who’s was worse. Leonard states that he had to spend a night in Mexico with Sheldon. Penny agrees that he wins.
