Only days away from the start of a new year, full of new wonders and new adventures, it's also a great time to reflect on what we'd like to wish for, and what we hope to accomplish. Here are my Top 10 Celebrity New Year's Wishes.

.) Brad Pitt receives an Academy Award for his excellent performance in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. (And that he and Angelina Jolie remain happily "partnered," or is it just, "together"? Yeah, that one!)

.) That Phantom: Love Never Dies, the 2009 sequel to The Phantom of the Opera, is everything we hoped it would be.

.) Ewan McGregor stars in another acclaimed film, which preferably will do quite well at the box office. He really deserves it.

.) Jennifer Aniston gets married. The 39-year-old beauty is much beloved, but if her jibes at Brangelina go on for much longer, the sympathy will quickly turn to apathy. She's still lovely, so finding a great man shouldn't be hard . . . and pass on those genes, please!

.) Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony find peace and happiness, whether together or separately.

.) Cate Blanchett does NOT get surgery, but does make an Elizabeth sequel, which takes place closer to the time of the original.

.) Clive Owen has an exciting and successful turn at the box office this year. Between Naomi Watts and Julia Roberts, the handsome Brit has had his choice of leading ladies, so 2009 may be the year he becomes one of the premiere leading men of his generation. (Why? see #3, but insert name "Clive Owen" instead.)

.) Get Grey's Anatomy back to its original, totally awesome level (read: first season).

.) Cancel Private Practice.

.) Re-hire entire cast of Private Practice to star in wacky comedy/drama about working woman (Kate Walsh), who finds a baby and needs to raise it. (Think Diane Keaton in Baby Boom.) And . . . action!

There are so many other New Year's wishes to share, but for now, happy and healthy holidays to all, and may the new year bring joy beyond your wildest wishes!
