What a sad day to wake up and hear that the world has lost the talented and ever-entertaining Andy Griffith. One thing he will be most remembered for by older generations and many of the young too, is The Andy Griffith Show, which first aired on American television from 1960 through 1968.

I remember as a child sitting on the living room floor every week anxious to see what hijinks Barney, Gomer, Goober, Otis, Opie, Floyd or even Aunt Bee would be up to in their wonderful small town of Mayberry. Sheriff Andy was usually the voice of calm and reason on the show and the one stuck with getting whomever out of the trouble they got themselves into.

Andy and Don Knotts, who played his faithful deputy, Barney Fife, tell Larry King in this CNN video what they felt made the show work.

I want to share some of my favorite scenes from The Andy Griffith Show. Hope you enjoy and God bless Andy Griffith for all of the good he gave us.
