With the last installment of the Harry Potter series likely to perform its own magic trick and disappear from the shelves of bookstores, fans are running rampant with speculation. The possible endings of the book are throwing Potter fans into a tizzy. J.K. Rowling has teased fans by saying that at least two major characters will die in the book, but the how and who are left gnawing away at readers brains. IGN has compiled a list of 10 possible endings to get people in the Harry mood for the launch on Saturday morning.
The following are some of the possible endings from IGN:
10. "Lord Voldemort is finally about to exact his revenge on Harry Potter. But first, he spends five minutes telling Harry every detail of his terrible plan to rule the Earth. This, of course, gives Ron and Hermione just enough time to come to the rescue, distracting Voldemort and allowing Harry to defeat him."
9. "Harry, Ron, and Hermoine trap Voldemort in their psychedelic-painted van. They discover that he is actually the disgraced ex-Minister of Magic Cornelius Fudge wearing a silly mask. "And I would've gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you meddling kids," he exclaims. Cue laugh track."
8. "Voldemort wins. Everybody dies. Fade to black."
