AMC has announced a new reality series starring The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus.

Reedus, who stars as Daryl Dixon on the popular zombie hit show The Walking Dead, will get his own show, Ride with Norman Reedus (working title), according to Deadline.

The six-episode reality series will follow biker-enthusiast Reedus as he explores local motorcycle culture in various cities across the country in hour-long episodes.

“We love being the home of people's passion projects, and there is nobody more passionate about motorcycles than Norman Reedus,” Joel Stillerman, AMC and SundanceTV original programming and developing president, said.  He described Reedus as "an avid rider" and said the actor was a fun person "to hang out with."

Stillerman also spoke about how the reality show would "bring those two elements together for a weekly ride into the incredible world of motorcycles and the people who live and breathe them,” Stillerman added.

The announcement comes on the heels of The Walking Dead being renewed a for a seventh season, a decision that came as no surprise, given the popularity and cult status of the long-running show based off of comics of the same name.

Reedus has expressed his gratitude towards AMC for picking up his show, according to The Hollywood Reporter, “I'm incredibly excited and thankful to AMC for giving me the opportunity to share a passion of mine with our fans, and hopefully a whole new audience. I had a lot of fun filming and exploring, and I hope it shows.”
