Shane Carruth is an up-and-coming filmmaker who is assembling himself an impressive cast of characters for his latest project.
According to Variety, Anne Hathaway, Keanu Reeves and Daniel Radcliffe have joined the cast of The Modern Ocean. Chloe Grace Moretz, Tom Holland, Asa Butterfield, Abraham Attah and Jeff Goldblum are also on board.
The story revolves around revenge and the intense competition for valuable shipping routes and priceless materials.
"This epic tale, fraught with danger and intrigue, takes us from the ancient trading houses of Algeria to the darkest depths of the ocean floor," FilmNation told The Hollywood Reporter.
Carruth has had success in his previous films Upstream Color and Primer. Upstream Color won the 2013 Special Jury Prize at Sundance and Primer won the 2004 Sundance Grand Jury Prize and the Alfred P. Sloan Prize.
The roles of the respected actors have not been revealed, but the producers are promising a unique and innovative film for audiences all over the world.
