Agent Fisher tracks Ash to learn his connection to the recent killings, while Kelly heads for home on the Nov. 7 episode of Ash vs Evil Dead.
Ash stands above Vivian’s body with a smoking chainsaw. Kelly tries to convince him to go to her father’s house to save him from the Deadites, but Ash says he needs to get the book translated in order to save everyone, not just her father.
Ash goes outside to get the trailer ready for travel. Someone is watching him. It’s his boss, Mr. Roper, who is now a Deadite. Before he can attack, Ash hears Pablo’s bike start up and Kelly takes off on it. Pablo says he tried to convince her to stay, but she took the book and left. Pablo offers to take Ash to her dad’s house. They take Ash’s car with the trailer attached.
On the way to Kelly’s dad’s, Pablo asks for fighting tips to defeat the Deadites. Ash says once he gets hit, he’ll figure it out. Suddenly, Roper attacks Ash from the backseat. He pulls Ash away from the wheel and Pablo tries to steer from the passenger side. Roper tries to make them crash. Pablo hits Roper over the head with a beer bottle, but he just smashes Pablo’s head on the dashboard. Pablo says he’s been hit, but he still doesn’t know what to do. Ash finds the broken bottle and stabs it into Roper’s neck repeatedly. Blood sprays everywhere and Roper lets up a little. Ash sticks Roper’s head out the driver’s side window where he is decapitated by another car.
Ash and Pablo continue on to Kelly’s dad’s house, covered in blood. Pablo is fawning over Ash for his fighting skills. Pablo asks for a towel and Ash hands him a wet nap.
Agent Fisher arrives at Ash’s trailer park, but he’s already left. The neighbors ask her if she’s there about the recent deaths. She introduces herself as a police officer. The neighbors say he brought a skank with a wrist tattoo home that week and they heard him reading Voo Doo stuff. Fisher thanks them for their help and finds a business card for the store where Ash plans on getting help translating the book.
Ash and Pablo pull up to Kelly’s father’s house. Something doesn’t seem right. Ash says he’ll go first, let the boomstick do the talking and tells Pablo to use his broken bottle if things get hairy. Ash busts down the door, chainsaw blaring. They find Kelly sitting in the living room with her parents. Kelly asks what they’re doing there and her mom, Suzy, asks them why they’re covered in blood. Ash says they hit a deer that exploded and they had to cut it up with his chainsaw.
Kelly tells the guys that Suzy was in a homeless shelter with amnesia. When she started to remember some things, she came home. Ash says it’s convenient timing. He asks for his book back.
Kelly introduces Pablo and Ash to her parents. Ash asks Suzy if she used to be dead. She says she might as well have been. She remembers going over a guard rail and then nothing for months. They never found a body, so Kelly and her dad didn’t give up hope. Suzy invites the boys to stay for dinner.
The police have a sketch artist draw Ash’s portrait. Fisher asks to take a look at it. The captain asks her to leave. She does.
Pablo and Ash clean up for dinner. Pablo admits that he took Ash’s book so he would go save Kelly’s father. Ash is angry, but Pablo says at least everything is okay and they get a free dinner. Ash says he thinks Suzy is a Deadite and Kelly’s dad is too. He says they can disguise themselves as human. Pablo asks why she wouldn’t have killed Kelly before they arrived. Ash says she’s using Kelly as bait to bag bigger fish. He says Suzy invited them to dinner so Ash would drop his guard. Pablo asks him to be polite.
Ash brings his shotgun to the table. Suzy asks him to put it aside, but he won’t. She places a piece of bloody meat on his plate. She tells Kelly that she made her favorite: roast beef, medium rare. Ash compliments her memory. He interrogates her about her life and she answers his questions.
Kelly tells Pablo that the rude middle aged man he brought is ruining her mom time. Pablo asks him to lay off. Instead, Ash punches Suzy in the face. When Suzy gets up, she has the face of a Deadite. Kelly’s dad tries to approach Suzy, but she stabs a fork into his head, killing him. Ash turns on his chainsaw and tries to shoot her with his shotgun. Pablo grabs a knife. Suzy throws a table at Ash and then disappears. Pablo realizes that Kelly is missing too.
Kelly seeks refuge in her old bedroom. She hears her mother singing a lullaby. Suzy is sitting by the window. Kelly approaches her and her mom looks human. She asks Kelly to help her. She says she blacked out and doesn’t remember killing Kelly’s father. Kelly says she’ll help her.
Ash bursts into the room and Kelly says they can save Suzy. Ash says it’s too late. Suzy hugs Kelly and then tells her that she drove off the bridge on purpose to get away from her. When Kelly pulls away, Suzy looks like a Deadite again. Ash swings his chainsaw at her, but it gets stuck in the wall. She grabs him from behind. He tries to aim the gun over his shoulder at her, but she pushes it under his chin. He manages to push it away before it goes off. Pablo runs at Suzy and stabs her in the head with his knife. She pulls the knife out of her head and starts stalking Pablo and Kelly. They plead with Ash for help. He gets his chainsaw out of the wall, cuts Suzy down and chops off her head.
They bury Kelly’s parents, and Ash places homemade crosses on their graves. Kelly says she hates the evil that did this. Pablo says he hates it too. He tells Ash that he’s not sorry he took his book to get him there. Ash says he isn’t either and thanks him. Pablo asks Kelly to come with them, to bring the fight to the demons. Ash says they should hit the bookstore next. Kelly tells him that her parents were Jewish. He says he wishes she would’ve said something before he made the crosses.
They drive away and we see Fisher heading for the bookstore.
