On this week's episode of The Big Bang Theory, Wil Wheaton contacts Sheldon to ask if he wants to be interviewed for a Spock documentary that Leonard Nimoy’s son, Adam, is making.

Sheldon calls Amy and leaves her a message, asking her to come watch him film his Spockumentary, but she never shows up.

Sheldon starts to talk about his Spock memories. He mentions the signed Leonard Nimoy napkin that Penny gave him as a gift. He gets it out of his wall safe that Leonard didn’t know existed. He also learns that Sheldon has a floor safe and a security camera hidden in his Aquaman statue.

After he is done showing off his napkin, Penny asks what else he is hiding in the safe box. Amongst his collectibles, Sheldon pulls out the engagement ring he was going to give Amy. This shocks Penny and Leonard as they had no idea he was planning to propose. Before getting too emotional, Sheldon changes the topic.

Later, Sheldon goes explains that he emulated Spock in order to rise above human emotion. Penny scoffs and points out that Spock liked to act like he had no emotions, but he was still half human. She tells Sheldon that like Spock, he has feelings too, just like everyone else. Sheldon argues that he isn’t emotional. He says he had an engagement ring for Amy, and even though she rejected him, he is just fine. This quickly escalates, however and Sheldon ends up raising his voice trying to justify to everyone that he is okay. He then storms off into the bedroom.

Sheldon comes out a while later after Wil and Adam leave. Sheldon decides that he is going to go and ask Amy to marry him because dwelling on it isn’t dong him any good.

Sheldon shows up to propose, but sees Amy outside of the building saying goodnight to another guy. Sheldon turns around and leaves.

In tonight’s sub plot, Bernadette tells Howard that she is going to be redecorating the house. She wants it to feel like it is her house too. This bothers Howard as it was the house he grew up in and he doesn’t want things changed.

Bernadette decides to compromise and only change one room to see how it goes. Howard agrees. They decide they will start with the dining room.

Raj and Bernedette's dad come over to help with the redecorating. They decide that they want to knock down a wall. This leads to Howard and Bernadette’s dad in a crawl space under the house to see if it would be possible. While in the crawl space, Bernadette’s dad mentions something about Howard not wanting to have kids. Howard is surprised by this saying that he really does want a kid, Bernadette is the one that doesn’t.

When they come up Bernadette confesses that it is her who doesn’t want kids. She didn’t want to tell her dad so he wouldn’t be disappointed. He just says that he doesn’t want her to miss out on raising kids because it was the best thing he ever did. Bernadette laughs saying that he didn’t help out, her mom raised her.

Raj points out that Bernadette is concerned that Howard, who never does much around the house, will be like her dad and not help raise a child with her. Howard assures her that wouldn’t be the case. He says he made a promise to himself that he would always be there for his kids, unlike his dad was for him. Bernadette agrees that she will think about having kids.
