Our first look at Captain America: Civil War has finally arrived.

Marvel unveiled the trailer for their upcoming superhero film on Tuesday's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, and though many were expecting a simple teaser, what we got is actually fairly revealing.

First, we can see that Bucky Barnes is a wanted man after the events of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and Steve Rogers (Captain America) is doing his best to protect his friend. After Bucky's escape, the Superhero Registration Act is introduced, a response to growing concern over superheroes acting without any supervision. Steve's desire to protect Bucky and his opposition to the new law puts him at odds with his fellow Avenger, Tony Stark.

The most interesting thing the trailer makes clear is that the conflict in Civil War comes about largely as a response to Bucky, whereas that was not a factor in the comics. This is also our first footage of Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), although Spider-Man (Tom Holland) is notably absent.

On Captain America's side will be Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), and the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan). On Iron Man's side will be War Machine (Don Cheadle), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), and Vision (Paul Bettany). This was revealed in some leaked promo art a few months ago, and the trailer seems to confirm it.

Captain America: Civil War hits theaters on May 6, 2016.
