Look out, moviegoers, because Deadpool is coming to an IMAX screen near you.

Deadpool will be one of the several 20th Century Fox movies getting an IMAX release, joining Independence Day: Resurgence, Maze Runner: The Death Cure and the untitled Wolverine movie as the movie studio has recently inked a multi-picture deal with IMAX, Collider reported.

While it remains unclear if Deadpool was shot in IMAX or simply converted to the format, it likely will draw massive numbers of viewers regardless, based on the Internet buzz around the upcoming film.

“We are very happy to announce this new global affiliation with IMAX and look forward to offering our audiences another choice in their viewing of our movies,” Paul Hanneman, 20th Century Fox President of Worldwide Marketing and Distribution, said in a statement.

In addition, Greg Foster, CEO of IMAX Entertainment, also said the deal would allow Imax to "close the loop among the Hollywood studios and takes our relationship with Fox to a new level."  He also expressed "excitement" over being able to "bring this particular slate of films to IMAX fans worldwide.”

Deadpool stars Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson, a former Special Forces operative who undergoes a rogue experiment to fix his incurable cancer and ends up with rapid healing powers and becomes the foul-mouthed, witty Deadpool.  It is set to hit the big screen Feb. 12, 2016 in the United States.

And although the film has yet to be released, there is already talks for a potential Deadpool sequel.
