Despite multiple protests controversial Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump is set to take stage for Saturday Night Live.
Trump will be one of only eight politicians to have ever served as guest host on the show even though NBC has faced increasing pressure from advocacy groups calling for Trump to be dropped for his racist discourse on immigration the Associated Press reports.
After failed attempts by latino advocacy groups to have Trump removed, they have decided to take a different avenue by offering $5,000 to any audience member who calls him a racist during the show.
Trump however seems quite enthusiastic about his upcoming appearance tweeting out earlier "Saturday Night Live has some incredible things in store tonight. The great thing about playing myself is that it will be authentic! Enjoy."
As to the question of what to expect KSPR reported that CNN contributor Bill Carter, who's written multiple books about the show said "SNL' is all about commenting on and satirizing contemporary culture. They won't shirk that in this case with all the scrutiny on the show. I expect a mix of sketches that play off his image and controversial stands along with the broader comedy the show usually does."
The highly anticipated episode of SNL will air 11:30 p.m. EST Saturday.
