Drake and Josh are reuniting, kind of.
As reported by ET Online, Drake Bell is scheduled to appear on an upcoming episode of Fox’s hit comedy Grandfathered, and will share scenes with his former Nickelodeon co-star, Josh Peck.
Bell’s upcoming guest appearance is a reunion of sorts for him and Peck, as they co-stared in the popular young adult sit-com Drake & Josh together from 2004 to 2007, appearing in 57 total episodes and in two TV films: Drake & Josh Go Hollywood and Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh.
In a future episode of Grandfathered, which also stars John Stamos as a leading man, Bell will play Kirk, a flamboyant tech investor desperately sought after by Gerald (Peck) and Vanessa (Christina Milian) to pitch their new app. However, after meeting face-to-face with Bell’s character, the duo question if it’s wise to conduct business with the rich entrepreneur.
While there has been no word on a potential Drake & Josh reunion, Peck has expressed interest in bringing back the show for a potential sixth season, and Bell even went as far as tweeting at former co-star Miranda Cosgrove, who played Megan, Drake and Josh’s diabolical younger sister in the show.
With Zoey 101, a mid-2000s Nickelodeon show also created by Dan Schneider, recently getting some closure, who knows, maybe Drake & Josh will be due for a comeback as well.
In the meantime, Grandfathered airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
