Less than two weeks after announcing her divorce from Olivier Martinez, Halle Berry is breaking her silence.

While making an appearance at an event benefiting the Jenesse Center Inc., Berry told Extra "I'm doing okay, I really am. I, I keep pushing and I'm really happy to be here because whenever you're going through anything in life, when you step outside yourself and focus on others, that's always the best remedy for any situation that you'd rather not be dealing with."

The divorce is Berry's third and her other ex-husbands have not been silent since the news broke. Earlier this week Berry's first husband, David Justice, tore into her in a Twitter rant that was later supported by her second husband Eric Benet.

The Jenesse Center is an organziation dedicated to domestic violence prevention and intevention and Berry teamed up with the Entertainment Industry Foundation to celebrate the organization's 35th anniversary.

Berry has opened up in previous interviews about her experiences with domestic violence. When speaking with Extra about the charity she stated, "It's a charity that really services what I call the forgotten ladies and children, and it's so important that we keeping bringing awareness to domestic violence, and it's so important that we keep shining a light on this issue."
