Miami Heat guard Gerald Green has been released from the hospital following a four-day stay for an undisclosed reason.
According to a 911 call obtained by TMZ, Green was taken to the hospital Wednesday after a strange incident outside his condo. Green had allegedly passed out and was bleeding in the valet area after acting strangely in the lobby.
On the recording, Green was screaming at the top of his lungs. Several people, including emergency personnel, had to subdue him to load him onto a stretcher and into an ambulance.
Green, 29, was not arrested by the police, according to the Miami Herald, but has missed the Heat’s several past games due to his hospitalization.
The team has not released an official statement on Green, and players have not been told the specifics of Green’s hospitalization.
Guard Mario Chalmers rode with him in the ambulance to the hospital. While several Heat players have been in contact with Green, no new information has emerged thus far. Chalmers and Green live in the same condo building.
Green, who signed a one-year minimum deal with the Heat this offseason, had been a key reserve off the bench, averaging 10.3 points during Miami’s first three regular-season games.
This isn’t the first time Green’s made headlines this season. He was fined $25,000 during preseason for making a menacing gesture.
