Jeb Bush says he would definitely kill baby Hitler

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said this weekend that he would definitely kill Adolf Hitler as a baby if he had the power to travel back in time.

During an interview with The Huffington Post, Bush was asked about the craziest email he received at his jeb@jeb.org address. He said that he was asked if he would kill Hitler as a baby to stop World War II and he said he would, without a second thought.

“Hell yeah, I would!” Bush said. “You gotta step up, man.”

Bush, who is far behind Donald Trump and Ben Carson in the 2016 Republican presidential race, did acknowledge that killing Hitler could have dangerous consequences. However, he would still do it.

“It could have a dangerous effect on everything else, but I’d do it -- I mean, Hitler,” Bush said.

The question of killing Baby Hitler became a social media sensation last month when The New York Times Magazine polled readers. The results of the poll found that 42 percent of readers would kill Hitler as a baby, while 30 percent would not. Another 28 percent of respondents were not sure.

Bush also stood by his comments to the Huffington Post on Twitter, reiterating, “gotta do it.”
