Joel McHale no longer has to sit through reality television. E! Network is ending The Soup after 12 years.

The series has been on the air since 1991, when Greg Kinnear hosted Talk Soup. After a few hosts, McHale began hosting in 2004 and the show was rebranded as The Soup. The half-hour show features McHale making fun of reality shows, including the ones that air on E!, and other pop culture topics.

“We are incredibly proud of the long-running success of The Soup. [The show] has delivered countless laughs and unforgettable episodes, and we are grateful to the talented team’s fearless wit and clever approach week after week,” Jeff Odle, E! exec VP of programming and development, said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter.

McHale, who is set to make an appearance in the upcoming X-Files revival, has been able to host the show in between a standup touring schedule and acting gigs. He starred on Community for six seasons. Recent film credits include Adult Beginners, Blended and Deliver Us From Evil.
