The third series in The CW’s DC Comics universe finally has a start date. DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will start in January.
Legends follows in the footsteps of Arrow and The Flash, featuring many of the secondary characters from those series. Victor Garber, Brandon Routh, Arthur Darvill, Dominic Purcell, Wentworth Miller, Ciara Renee, Caity Lotz and Franz Drameh made up the latest Greg Berlanti-produced show’s ensemble cast.
The show’s debut has been scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 21 at 8 p.m. The 100 will kick off its third season on the same night at 9 p.m.
The Vampire Diaries will move to Fridays, starting on Jan. 29 at 8 p.m. It will be paired with The Originals.
The CW’s season includes only three new shows: Legends, the already premiered Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Containment, which has yet to be scheduled. (We saw the Containment pilot at New York Comic Con and it was bad.)
Speaking of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed earlier this week that the show has earned five more episodes, upping its season one episode count to 18. iZombie received six more episodes, taking its second season up to 19 episodes.
