The cast of Fuller House won't be quite as full as fans were hoping.
Although we've known for a while that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen wouldn't be part of the main cast of Fuller House, the crew extended an invitation and asked them to make a cameo appearance, as we previously reported. Netflix’s Ted Sarandos even said there was a chance the twins would still show up. Well, we now officially know that this will not happen.
Lori Loughlin, who plays Becky Katsopolis in the series, recently told The Huffington Post that shooting has wrapped on Season 1 of Fuller House and the Olsens will not be in it.
That news is pretty disappointing for Full House fans, although it definitely makes sense. Back in April, the twins claimed that they were never approached about the series, noting that they found out about it at the same time we did. John Stamos himself called that claim "bullsh-t."
Later, though, Stamos said that he personally asked the twins to appear, but they both declined.
"I called them up and asked them to do it, [but] they’re in a different phase in their life," he said. "They haven’t acted in a long time.”
Fuller House will premiere on Netflix in 2016.
