Melissa McCarthy strolled onto the stage of Jimmy Kimmel Live! Thursday, flaunting a slimmer figure after being criticized about her weight in the past.
The 45-year old actress appeared on the show to debut the trailer for her 2016 comedy The Boss. Her weightloss is evident in the trailer as she looks very different than the plus size women we've grown accustomed to seeing.
McCarthy has been victim of body shaming comments in the past and has expressed concern over how bullying affects young girls. Nevertheless the comedic mother of two never seemed to let the negative comments bring her down.
However, she has spoken outwardly about her weight struggles before. "Sometimes I wish I were just magically a size six and I never had to give [my weight] a single thought. It's something I'm always working on," she told Good Housekeeping in 2012, Us Weekly reported at the time.
McCarthy showed up on the Kimmel set, wearing a black turtleneck sweater and skinny jeans from her "Melissa McCarthy Seven7 Collection" fashion line.
The Boss, which was written by McCarthy, her husband Ben Falcone and Steve Mallory, is set to hit theaters April 8.
