Nathaniel Marston, a former soap opera star, has died after being involved in a deadly single-car crash in Nevada late last month. He was 40 years old.
Marston was involved in an accident on Oct. 30. His mother, Elizabeth Jackson, said earlier this month that he had suffered a broken neck and back. Earlier this week, Jackson wrote that she was told Marston would likely live the rest of his life as a quadriplegic if he survived surgeries.
Sadly, Jackson announced last night on Facebook that Marston has succumbed to his injuries. She wrote that Marston died peacefully in her arms. She said that he died at 3:15 p.m. in Reno.
“Had Nathaniel lived he would have required a ventilator and would never have been able to utter one more word and would have been sentenced to life as a quadriplegic,” Jackson wrote. “A condition that Nate would have never have been able to tolerate. By [God’s] love and mercy Nathaniel was spared this living hell and has traveled on to be with God, his cherished Grandmother Mary Jackson, Grandfather John Jackson and my sister his Aunt Nora.”
Jackson thanked Marston’s fans for their support and many have since left messages of condolences on her Facebook page.
Marston was a star on One Life to Live and As The World Turns. He also had parts on Blue Bloods and Castle.
