The first trailer for Preacher, AMC’s newest series, premiered during last night’s episode of The Walking Dead. The intense, violent new show is based on a Vertigo comic and was developed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.
Preacher stars Dominic Cooper as Jesse Cutler, a Texas preacher who has influence over people after merging with a creature from heaven. He is joined by his girlfriend and an Irish vampire on a journey to find god.
The trailer AMC showed introduces Cutler as a guy you don’t want to mess with. He’s clearly a very special kind of preacher.
The cast also includes Ruth Negga, Joseph Gilgun, Ian Colletti and Lucy Griffiths. AMC hasn’t announced a premiere date for the show, but it will debut in mid-2016.
