The last episode of Criminal Minds focused on the search for a man who was abducting men and torturing them before they were killed. When the unsub would attack, it was always at night at a specific time and he targeted an area on I-10. The BAU has to figure out the reason for the murders in order to save the unsub’s final victim.
JJ helps with the case when she makes the connection between exhaustion and driving. As she is adjusting to having two children now, she is very tired and figures out exhaustion could have played a role in the unsub’s past.
When the truth about the unsub comes out, it leads to questions about whether the unsub was telling the truth about something that happened to lead him to the murders he has committed. Only the audience knows the truth by the end of the episode. The question is, will this come up later for the BAU?
Meanwhile, in an effort to protect Garcia from the hitmen, she is placed under protection inside the FBI. She isn’t even allowed to go home to get anything crucial she may need.
