The last episode of NCIS: New Orleans saw the team investigating a murder in the middle of a citywide blackout. When a good friend of Laurel’s loses her fiancé, Pride is determined to find out what happened and solve his murder. Petty Officer Nick Benton is found beaten after he accidentally pocket dials his fiancée, Francesca, who hears the entire thing on her phone.
Because the team can’t use technology to work faster, they have to use old-fashioned police work in order to look for the evidence. There are many twists and turns in the case as they try to figure out if Nick’s murder is connected to the blackout and what happened to lead to him being killed.
Also in the episode, Percy and Chris try to figure out how to get the generators back up so they can have power. Percy works hard, especially since Pride offers her $100 if she gets the lights back on. It’s always entertaining to watch these two go head to head and tease each other.
