After an intense week we saw on last week’s The Flash, we saw the aftermath with Barry as he struggled to deal with confidence issues in the wake of Zoom torturing him. Barry is healing from his injuries, but the internal feelings he has leaves him feeling weak and completely destroyed. To make matters worse, gorilla Grodd comes back.
Harry Wells is prepared to leave, but Caitlyn convinces him to stay by suggesting they figure out how to close the breaches and stop Zoom together. It’s a good thing he stays since Grodd kidnaps Caitlyn and they all need to work together to rescue her and stop Grodd once again.
In order to help Barry, Iris calls in reinforcements in the shape of his father. Henry is, of course, just what Barry needs as he has some experience with losing his own confidence after everyone believed he could kill his wife.
Finally, Cisco’s romance possibility with Kendra Saunders is complicated when he gets visions of someone in a mask with wings. He ends up running out on their date as he tries to figure out what is going on.
This was an incredible episode of The Flash and we got to see Barry’s dynamic with both of his fathers, and we also got to see a moment when Joe discussed his conflicting feelings whenever he saw Barry with Henry.
