Marvel fans will have to hold off a bit longer to see Peggy Carter's return to television.
Agent Carter's Season 2 premiere has been delayed two weeks, ABC said in a statement. The show was originally scheduled to return on Jan. 5, but that has now been pushed to Jan. 19. This is in order to avoid conflict with President Barack Obama's State of the Union address on Jan. 12, which airs during Agent Carter's regular time slot.
Agent Carter stars Hayley Atwell as the titular character, who was introduced in Captain America: The First Avenger. The second season will see Peggy moving to Los Angeles in order to deal with the threats of the atomic age in the aftermath of World War II.
Also returning for the new episodes will be James D'Arcy as Edwin Jarvis, Enver Gjokaj as Daniel Sousa and Chad Michael Murray as Chief Jack Thompson.
Marvel's show, which takes place in the same universe as The Avengers and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, was actually imagined as a limited series, but ABC decided to renew it for a second season due to impressive ratings.
