Think you're the biggest Star Wars fan in the world? The Alamo Drafthouse wants you to prove it with an insane new contest just in time for the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie.
According to the Drafthouse's official website, the Austin theater will be hosting an endurance test where fans must watch The Force Awakens over and over for days on end until only one contestant remains.
That's not all, though. The event actually starts with a marathon of all six movies, beginning with The Phantom Menace at 4:45 a.m. on December 17. The contestants will be shown The Force Awakens later that day, and then the new film will play on repeat for as long as viewers remain in the theater.
No sleeping is allowed during the films, and the theater's no smartphone policy will be heavily enforced. In other words, there can be absolutely no distractions or communication with the outside world while the competition is going on. There will be small breaks in between the films, however.
The winner will receive a seven-year movie pass to Alamo theaters, some Star Wars merchandise and a seat named in their honor. The chain is accepting just seven participants for the event, and anyone over 21 can apply to enter. All you have to do is show how big of a Star Wars fan you are on social media using the hashtag #AlamoJedi, assuming the idea of seeing The Force Awakens 37 times in a row is appealing to you.
For more information, check out Drafthouse's website. In the past few years, we've seen some similar crazy marathons like this, including the 29 hour screening of every single Marvel movie before Avengers: Age of Ultron. However, events like these usually haven't had an actual prize attached before, so this should certainly be interesting.
