Josh Duggar’s wife, Anna Duggar, talked openly about his infidelity on his sisters’ TLC spin-off show Jill & Jessa: Counting On.
Anna talked about her husband’s hypocrisy within their church amid finding out that he used Ashley Madison to cheat on her.
“It was such a betrayal for a spouse to go through what we’re walking through,” she said, Us Weekly reports.
On Sunday, Josh’s siblings Jinger, John-David, and Joseph Duggar spoke about the scandals during the first part of the three-part special.
“It was hard to realize that it was such a public thing, so not only was it a betrayal for me, but it was also a betrayal against those who call themselves Christian,” Anna continued, “because here we were as a Christian couple and everyone was able to see us get married and to vow before God to be loyal to each other. And [then] that loyalty was broken.”
The mother of four also said she turned to her faith in this time of need and prayed about finding a way to get through the dark times.
“I knew that my only hope was to cling to my faith, because I knew that if I went with what I was feeling, then I would turn a mess into a disaster,” she said.
Josh has been at a long-term treatment facility since August and it's not known when he will return home.
