‘Ash vs Evil Dead’ recap episode 108: ‘Ashes to Ashes’

On Saturday’s episode of Ash vs Evil Dead, Ash and Fisher check out the cabin where it all started, while Kelly and Pablo are lost in the woods.

Ash approaches the cabin from the woods and gears up. He hears a noise behind him, but it’s just Fisher. She tells him she wants to help end things.

When they enter the cabin, Fisher has a flashback to her partner’s death. Ash warns her the cabin likes to deal out bad memories. Ash wants to bury the book in the basement, but it’s chained shut. Ash leaves Fisher to guard the book while he goes to the work shed to get a crowbar. We see Ash’s missing hand crawling behind the wall of the cabin. It grows an eye.

Kelly and Pablo are lost in the woods, trying to find Ash. They hear voices and approach a group of hikers who show them the way to the cabin. One of the girls wants to hit on Pablo, but Kelly tells her he has a girlfriend.

Ash starts the generator and enters the shed where he finds Linda’s skull. The door slams shut behind him. Linda’s head appears in the vice and taunts him.

Fisher hears a strange noise and finds the tape recorder is slowly moving. Hearing another noise, she pulls her gun and investigates the rooms. She finds a book of research about the dagger Ruby had. Ash appears in the doorway. He tells her they should leave and start over. He kisses her and touches her face with his missing, decayed hand. She freaks out and learns that the hand grew another Ash. He chases her from the room.

The real Ash is still in the shed. An evil force throws saw blades at him and he has to battle a bear trap with his crowbar.

Demon Ash fights Fisher. She grabs a meat cleaver and cuts his hand into pieces. He tricks her into thinking the hand was the only possessed part of him, then buries the cleaver in her neck. She falls on the deer antlers, piercing her body.

The bear trap tears off the real Ash’s mechanical hand. He smashes Linda’s head and runs from the shed.

Demon Ash tells Fisher that they always knew she would help Ash. He also says that burying the book won’t stop the evil.

The real Ash comes looking for Fisher and finds her dying. She tells him about the other Ash. He comforts her and kisses her goodbye. She dies. Demon Ash taunts him, then runs away.

Kelly and Pablo find Ash over the dead body. He tries to explain there’s another him. He goes looking for his demon self. They fight each other using their known bodily weaknesses. They choke each other and the screen goes black.
