‘Ash vs Evil Dead’ recap episode 109: ‘Bound in Flesh’

On this week’s Ash vs Evil Dead, Ash battles his evil twin and Ruby reappears leaving Kelly and Pablo wondering who to trust.

Kelly and Pablo find Ash fighting another version of himself. The two versions both try to convince Kelly and Pablo that they’re the real Ash and asks them to kill the other one. They realize who the real Ash is when he asks that they just shoot them both to make sure they rid the world of the evil Ash. They shoot the bad version.

Ash starts up his chainsaw to chop up Fisher and his evil self, but the campers who helped Kelly and Pablo show up outside. They got lost and want to camp in the front yard. Kelly and Pablo agree to take them back to civilization using a trail behind the cabin instead.

Ash dismembers his evil self. The blood reaches the Necronomicon and it speaks to him. It tells him to use it instead of burying it. He closes it in the refrigerator to shut it up. When he gets back to the living room, Fisher is missing.

Pablo and the camper, Heather, flirt in the woods. She mentions that Kelly said he had a girlfriend. Kelly tells Pablo that Heather isn’t good enough for him. They hear something in the bushes and shoot. It turns out to be a raccoon. Camper, Brad, is upset because he works in forestry. When the next set of bushes rustle, he puts himself and his wife in between the bushes and Kelly and Pablo. Fisher appears and tears out the camper couple’s insides. Kelly and Pablo shoot through their bodies but miss Fisher.

Heather takes off running with Fisher following. Pablo tries to save her, but Fisher throws her against a tree and tries to choke Pablo. Ruby appears out of nowhere and attacks Fisher. Ruby pulls out the Kendarian blade to kill her, but Heather wakes and screams in pain, drawing Ruby’s attention. When she turns back, Fisher is gone.

Ruby dismembers the camper couple’s bodies while Pablo explains to Heather why it has to be done. Ruby tells Kelly and Pablo to take her to Ash.

Ruby and Ash bicker about giving her the Necronomicon. She claims if it’s just buried, someone else can find it and use it. She wants to dismantle it with the Kendarian dagger. Kelly, Pablo, and Ash discuss it and decide to try it.

Ruby tells Ash to remove the face of the book with the dagger then present it to her. He throws the face on the floor. Ruby reads from the book and the face rises up, attaching itself to Pablo’s face. He begs for help, but Kelly can’t remove it. Ash tries to stop Ruby from reading, but she attacks him. She says she knows what she’s doing because she wrote the book.
