Even though American audiences won’t get to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens until tonight, the film is already out overseas. Disney said that it has already earned $14.1 million.

In France, The Force Awakens earned the best December opening ever, scoring $5.2 million in one day, notes Deadline. That’s twice as much as The Avengers’ first day and almost double what Jurassic World made. It also had the best December opening ever in Italy with $2 million.

The film also scored the best opening days ever in Belgium, Finland, The Netherlands and the French-speaking regions in Switzerland. In Denmark, it had the best opening ever for a Disney movie with $1 million.

The Force Awakens opens almost worldwide this week, although it won’t open until January in China. It opens in Spain and Japan on Friday.

It has been reported that the film has already made $100 million in advance ticket sales in North America alone. The film is expected to break Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2’s $44 million record for biggest Thursday night opening ever.

The Force Awakens is looking to break the $208.8 million debut weekend record set by Universal’s Jurassic World this summer. Jurassic World made $316.1 million outside North America during its opening weekend and that’s another record The Force Awakens could break.
