Caitlyn Jenner has reached a settlement in one of the three lawsuits filed in the multi-vehicle car crash that took the life of one person last February.
People noted that court documents state that Jenner and Jessica Steindorff, the driver of the Prius involved in the accident, settled for an undisclosed amount for the compensatory and punitive damages she was suing for.
TMZ reported Jenner did not have to pay anything out of pocket herself and instead her insurance company paid out the settlement.
The crash along Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu earlier this year killed Kim Howe. The victim was driving her Lexus and hit her brakes when Steindorff suddenly stopped her car. Jenner then rear-ended Howe whose car then veered into oncoming traffic. A Hummer hit Howe’s Lexus killing her.
Jenner was cleared by investigators of criminal charges in September, but is being sued by Howe’s children.
After the crash, Jenner issued the following statement:
“My heartfelt and deepest sympathies go out to the family and loved ones, and to all of those who were involved or injured in this terrible accident. It is a devastating tragedy and I cannot pretend to imagine what this family is going through at this time. I am praying for them. I will continue to cooperate in every way possible.”
