The NBA and several of its star players have joined the Everytown For Gun Safety campaign in several PSAs that were posted online today.

The videos feature Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors; the New York Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony; Joakim Noah of the Chicago Bulls; and Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers. The four stars are also featured in a 30-second video.

Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg started the campaign to specifically counter the National Rifle Association.

According to the New York Times, the NBA/Bloomberg team-up came together with help from filmmaker Spike Lee. He first proposed the idea to ESPN president John Skipper, who brought the idea to NBA commissioner Adam Silver.

Lee told the Times that “common sense anti-gun laws” should be passed, “But because of the N.R.A., politicians and the gun manufacturers, we’re dying under that tyranny.”

The PSAs are set to air on Christmas Day, when five NBA games are played.
