This year's Doctor Who Christmas special has just been given an official poster and title.

The Dec. 25th episode of the science fiction series will be called "The Husbands of River Song." It will feature the return of Alex Kingston as The Doctor's wife, and though we're constantly meeting River at different points in her timeline, this version of the character has not yet met Peter Capaldi's 12th Doctor. From River's perspective, the upcoming episode takes place after "The Angels Take Manhattan" but before her most recent appearance in "The Name of the Doctor."

The official plot synopsis for the special reads, "It’s Christmas Day on a remote human colony and the Doctor is hiding from Christmas carols and comedy antlers. But when a crashed spaceship calls upon the Doctor for help, he finds himself recruited into River Song’s squad and hurled into a fast and frantic chase across the galaxy. King Hydroflax (Greg Davies) is furious, and his giant robot bodyguard is out of control and coming for them all! Will Nardole (Matt Lucas) survive? And when will River Song work out who the Doctor is?"

You can see that giant robot bodyguard in this first poster straight from the BBC. "The Husbands of River Song" will air this Christmas, although if you'd like to see it on the big screen, it will also be shown in select theaters on Dec. 28 and 29.
