‘Downton Abbey’ stars try scene with American accents for Stephen Colbert (Video)

When we think of Downton Abbey, the classy British accents are one of the defining traits. But what would the show be like if everyone had American accents?

While on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert this weekend, Hugh Bonneville, Michelle Dockery and Allen Leech were asked to perform a scene from the show. They all make it clear that it is much easier for British actors to imitate American accents than the other way around.

The sixth and final season of Downton Abbey starts on PBS on Jan. 3.
