In between his busy movie career, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has found some time to return to his wrestling roots. The action star announced Monday that he will take part in the WWE’s WrestleMania 32 in April.
Johnson posted the news on his Instagram account with a highlight reel.
“IT'S OFFICIAL: People's Champ is coming home to do 3 things with THE PEOPLE: Set an ALL-TIME attendance record, ELECTRIFY Dallas like never before & make all time#WRESTLEMANIA history. And we have FUN,” Johnson wrote. “Ok that's four things but you know what the hell The Rock's sayin'.. ????.”
WrestleMania 32 will take place at AT&T Stadium in Dallas and will air on the WWE Network. It is scheduled for Sunday, April 3. In addition to the main event, there will be WrestleMania Axxess, a four-day convention at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.
Johnson starred in two blockbusters in 2015, San Andreas and Furious 7. He also starred on HBO’s Ballers. He’s currently working on Disney’s Moana and a film adaptation of Baywatch. In 2019, he will star in DC and Warner Bros.’ Shazam! as Black Adam. You can catch him in Central Intelligence in June.
