There’s a new rumor Friends superfans will love following Courteney Cox’s split from her fiancé, Johnny McDaid. It’s rumored she’s dating her on-screen husband, Matthew Perry.

A source told Star magazine Cox leaned on Perry for support after calling off her engagement to the Snow Patrol musician, and one thing lead to another.

"It’s no surprise that Matthew was one of the first people Courteney called after Johnny left her,” a source close to the alleged new couple shared. “They’ve leaned on each other before — during her infertility struggle and his battle with addiction.”

But before we envision Cox getting down on one knee in a room full of candles to propose like Monica did to Chandler, sources say the rumor just isn’t true.

According to E! Online, the rumors that the newly-single Cox and Perry are “hooking up” are simply false.

Even though it isn’t true, that doesn’t mean fans didn’t express their happiness over the mere thought of it. Twitter users came out in droves to post about the rumor on Thursday.
