The Golden Globes nominations did not go down without a few weird bumps. First, the Hollywood Foreign Press’ social media people forgot that America Ferrera is not Gina Rodriguez, then Dennis Quaid couldn’t figure out how to pronounce Saoirse Ronan’s name.

Ferrera, who stars in NBC’s new midseason comedy Superstore, was one of the stars who had to wake up super early to help read the nominations. Just before the event started, the Golden Globes Twitter page sent out a picture of Ferrera and the others waiting, but they called out Jane The Virgin’s Gina Rodriguez instead.

As Fox News notes, the post was deleted. But of course, plenty of people took screenshots of the flub.

The Globes have honored both Ferrera and Rodriguez. Ferrera was the first Latino to win Best Actress in a TV Comedy when she won for Ugly Betty. Rodriguez won the same award for Jane the Virgin earlier this year and was just nominated again.

Later, when Quaid was announcing the nominees for Best Actress in a Drama film, he mispronounced Brooklyn star Ronan’s first name. He called her “Sheesha Ronan.” At least he made an attempt to pronounce it correctly. It’s really pronounced “sir-she.”

Chloe Grace Moretz and Angela Bassett also announced nominees and got through it without problems.
