Gwyneth Paltrow’s Goop pop-up shop in New York City, Goop Mrkt, was robbed less than two weeks after its opening on Saturday.
NYPD confirmed over $173,00 worth of merchandise, including jewelry and watches, was stolen from a cabinet three men managed to open while the store’s staff was still there.
The perpetrators were gone by the time police arrived after staff called 911, and authorities are still searching for them, USA Today reports.
In a statement to People, a spokesperson for GOOP said, "There was an isolated incident Saturday afternoon involving a very limited number of items, which was reported to the NYPD.”
The statement continued, "While the store was crowded during one of our busiest days, thankfully the NYPD responded quickly, our customers and staff are safe, and we remain open for business with proper security precautions in place."
Goop Mrkt is the online retail store’s first pop-up shop. As a treat for customers, Paltrow teamed up with Valentino’s designers for a collaboration to mark the occasion.
