Authorities in Utah have released more details on the death of Michael Cavallari, who was the brother-in-law of Chicago Bears quarterback and sibling of television personality Kristin Cavallari.
ET Online noted that although the official cause of death has not yet been determined, the Grand County Sheriff's office believes Cavallari died of exposure to the elements.
The office went on to say that no drugs or alcohol were found in the 30-year-old’s system and the death is not being investigated as a suicide, thus leading them to believe that being out in the cold elements may have been the cause. Because the temperatures in Grand County have been so low, they think that he could have gotten hypothermia.
As we reported, Cavallari’s body was found on Thursday and his Laguna Beach star sister immediately released the following statement:
We want to thank everyone for their love, support and prayers during this very difficult time. We have just been informed by the authorities my brother’s body has been found. This is a very painful time and we are still processing it all. We kindly ask everyone please respect our privacy during our time of grieving.
Kristin followed that up with a photo of the two of them when they were small and captioned that image with, "My heart is in a million pieces. Mikey, I could always count on you to make me laugh. You had such a good heart and will be forever missed. I'm at a loss for words but I know u are in a better place and finally at peace. I love u so much RIP."
