The director of Zero Dark Thirty is working on another drama about terrorism, but this time she's headed to HBO.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Kathryn Bigelow is teaming up with HBO to develop the new show The Recruiters, which will be set in Minnesota and will revolve around the world of Jihadi recruitment.

Bigelow will serve as executive producer on the series. This will be her return to HBO after an unsuccessful 2010 pilot, The Miraculous Year.

Signed on as writer and director is K'naan Warsame, primarily known for his work as a singer and songwriter. This will be his first experience writing or directing.

In terms of her next film, Bigelow is also hard at work on a new movie about Bowe Bergdahl, the U.S. soldier held captive for five years by the Taliban. Bigelow's film will be written by her frequent collaborator Mark Boal, whose hours of taped conversations with Bergdahl are now being aired on the second season of Serial.

The Recruiters is still in its very early stages, so it remains to be seen if HBO will be interested in it as a full series.
